Course Objectives
The primary objective of this course is to give participants the confidence and enthusiasm to explore the capabilities of this extremely powerful application. The topics covered give an in depth introduction to the spreadsheet, graphic and database facilities of 1-2-3. After attending this two day course participants will be able to design and utilise their own data analysis files within Lotus 1-2-3.
Who Should Attend?
Those who are new to 1-2-3 and who require an introduction to the application, and those who have been working with the package already but have not yet tapped it's full potential. Some understanding of using a Personal Computer and working in the Windows environment will be expected. The topics covered on our "Introduction to Microsoft Windows" course are an adequate prerequisite for this course.

The use of relative and absolute cell addressing.
An introduction to 1-2-3's @functions.
How to save, open, close and create new worksheet files.
Moving and Copying.
Use of all Style & View commands.
Cell and File Protection.
Creating File Links.
Use of the Range Fill, Sort, Name and Fill by Example commands.
Short Menus.
The use and customisation of SmartIcons.
Drawing Objects in 1-2-3.
Printing reports from the worksheet.
The creation, use and printing of graphs.
Utilising the Tools, Database, New Query command.
Working with multiple worksheet files.
Setting user preferences.
